With this corporate policy, the management of KRIS FASHION INDUSTRIES Inc. describes the company’s public commitment to take responsibility for its own entrepreneurial actions regarding the direct and indirect effects of business activities on human rights and the environment in supply chains.

In this way, we inform both – employees, business partners and suppliers about our responsibility and self-commitment in relation to the implementation of specific objectives to improve sustainability in our own operations and in the supply chain that we have developed.

In addition, it is hereby determined that we will establish processes to implement the commitments made in the Policy Statement and to cover compliance with relevant international frameworks and standards.

Our company is committed to all processes for implementing corporate due diligence related to the prevention, mitigation and elimination of risks in the sector and for this purpose we declare that we will develop the management system with which we adopt the principles and values ​​of the amfori BSCI Code of Ethics in the company.

For this purpose, the management appoints a responsible person – ValentinVatev – production manager, who is responsible for compliance with the principles and values ​​of BSCI in a satisfactory manner.

The company identifies its main business partners and will assess how they understand and apply the amfori BSCI Code of Ethics and will also monitor how our business partners view and comply with the amfori Code of Ethics.

We are committed to developing policies and procedures to prevent any violation of workers’ rights in our supply chain, which incl. mental, financial and psychological aspects. We strive to manage our business contacts in a responsible manner.

Management attaches great importance to the fact that transparency is part of the corporate responsibility obligation and will make its commitments and objectives available to the general public. The company’s policy and policy statement on respecting human rights and protecting the environment are published on the company’s website.

Of a Great importance is also the compliance with all international human rights conventions and ILO core labor standards, as well as the International Code of Human Rights. We develop our activity in compliance with the following principles on which our overall business policy is based on:

 

  1. Policy regarding workers and their protection

The management of KRIS FASHION INDUSTRIES Inc. strives to continuously involve the workers and their representatives in topics related to the working environment and exchanges information with them on these issues.Long-term goals are set to protect workers according to amfori’s Code of Ethics.The Management takes specific steps to make workers aware of their rights and obligations. Work is being done to build sufficient competences for the successful introduction of responsible practices in its usual activity, which includes managers, workers and their representatives. An effective mechanism for the possibility of grievances of individuals or communities has also been established.

 

  1. Right to freedom of association and collective bargaining

KRIS FASHION INDUSTRIES Inc. respects the right of each employee to associate in a free and democratic manner as well as their right to collective bargaining. This also includes not discriminating against workers because of their participation in trade unions, as well as not preventing workers’ representatives from carrying out activities in the workplace.

The management of the company complies with the national minimum wage legislation or industry standards – regulated in CSR and Labor Low.   1. Policy on working hours and normal working hours and permanent employment

The management gives great importance to the physical and health condition of its workers and employees and strives to observe the rule of normal working hours and of no more than 40 (forty) working hours per week without prejudice to the exceptions recognized by the International Labor Organization ( ILO).Overtime orders are in accordance with the requirements of national legislation and the principles laid down in the Branch Agreements for working conditions and working hours, as well as with the BSCI Code of Ethics. The company grants workers the right to rest every working day, guaranteeing the right of workers to rest at least one working day per week.Employment contracts at KRIS FASHION INDUSTRIES Inc. do not cause uncertainty for workers. Workers are hired only on the basis of approved and documented employment relationships. Workers are given written and comprehensible information before they start work, not using employment contracts that contradict the true aims of the law.

 

  1. Policies on working house and normal working house and permanent employment

The company complies with the applicable legislation regarding health and safety working conditions. We aim to protect workers in the event of accidents, including compulsory accident and public liability insurance schemes.We regularly conduct a risk assessment for protection, health and hygienic working conditions together with the Office of Occupational Medicine. There is active interaction between management and workers and/or their representatives when developing and implementing health and safety systems. In conjunction with the occupational health service, occupational health training is provided regularly, which ensures workers’ understanding and knowledge of work rules, personal protection and measures for prevention and response to accidents.Company management requires the use of personal protective equipment to protect workers in conjunction with other control and protection systems. Administrative control measures have been introduced to prevent or minimize hazardous substances in the work environment.Accident and incident procedures are developed and implemented. For this purpose, management insists on clearly indicating potentially dangerous substances for workers by means of signs and warnings.Procedures for documenting and reporting occupational incidents (occupational accident and injury log) have been developed and implemented.

The management of the company constantly strives to ensure the stability and protection of the equipment and buildings used for production, as part of these measures is the equipment with adequate guards for any machine part, function or process that may cause injury to workers.

In addition to this, a system has been developed for the control and inspection of electrical installations and equipment, as well as all specific installations subject to control by competent persons only.

Last but not least, the principle and right of workers to remove themselves from the workplace in case of imminent danger without seeking permission is respected.The management of the company has provided training to a certain number of employees to provide qualified first aid at any time, and emergency procedures have been developed to deal with cases of trauma or serious illnesses, legally regulated by compliance with Article 38 of the Low for protection of injured persons.

Own company transport is provided, which is safe and complies with national legislation.

The location of the enterprise and the workers inside are not exposed to natural hazardous substances or are under the influence of the working environment. The temperature, humidity and atmosphere in the working premises and all other spaces meet all modern requirements, as sanitary conditions and lighting are adequate for the health and safety of workersThe same is verified by regular measurements of the parameters of the working environment, conducted by certified and licensed organizations.

 

  1. Policy – no child labor and special protection of young workers

The company does not directly or indirectly employ children under the legal minimum age under employment contracts. A robust age verification mechanism is in place as part of the recruitment process, which in no way results in humiliation or disrespect. Adequate written policies and procedures have been developed to protect children from any type of exploitation.The company does not employ young workers at night and they are protected in the working environment from hazards to their health, safety, morale and development. Working hours for young people do not reflect their attendance at school, their participation in professional orientations approved by the competent authorities, or their capacity to participate in training and instruction programs.A mechanism has been established to prevent, identify and mitigate harm to young workers. Young workers have access to an effective grievance mechanism. We strive to ensure that young people are properly trained in health and safety at work and have access to related training programs. We keep in good contact with them and follow their development while working in production.

The company does not use any form of slave or forced labor and does not use labor resulting from human trafficking or coercion. We act strictly and diligently when engaging people and employing migrant workers, both directly and indirectly. Workers are not subjected to inhuman or degrading treatment, company punishment, mental and physical punishment or verbal abuse.

The company constantly identifies the significant impact and consequences for the natural environment related to its activities. We have our own procedures in place to ensure the integration of local environmental legislation into business operations.The company is certified according to the ISO 14001:2015 standard and maintains a comprehensive system for waste management in a way that does not lead to pollution of the environment, as well as water resources. For this purpose, the necessary permits and licenses related to environmental protection are maintained.
